You have to use the nose spray every day, I think twice a day, for it to work. I know you probably think, why would I need a nose spray for fluid behind the ear? But that's the standard of treatment that most doctors do, as well as a decongenstant allergy pill sometimes. My allergist prescribed the nose spray and told me to be consistant with my Zyrtec (allergy prescription) to help clear it up. And it did! But it took about 3 weeks of consistant use of the nose spray.

I believe that the fluid behind the ear could potentially cause nausea because the inner ear controls balance. And people with balance problems are frequently nauseated.
