I am starting pau darko and daily famvir (might switch to valtrex) therapy, hopefully this will do some good? I bought tea tree oil for the itching.. any advise is much appreciated. Does anyone else have this problem.

oh did i mention the genital sore is over the size of a quarter... the labial sore heals in 10 days time


I've had this STD for 12 years now. I'm now 41. I was initially prescribed Zovirax in a cream form and it worked for me. My sore was much smaller than yours but it might be worth a shot. I've been on orals for years now (Valtrex) and has worked really well for me. I might get an outbreak once a year, maybe.... and when I do it is because of stress, lack of sleep or even due to my immune system being down due to a cold. It's usually a very mild o/b and is gone is less than a week.
