   Canker Sores (Fibromyalgia board)

21st May 2005
Hiya All,

Yes, the dreaded mouth ulcers. I agree canker sores sounds so dire, but they are described as aphthous which means small ulcers occuring in the mouth or on the tongue. I too have them a lot of the time on the roof of my mouth, inside cheeks and tongue.

I also get cold sores a lot. Again inside and outside of the mouth. I have had some for the last week actually on my facial skin, upper lip area and side of my nose - I'm not self diagnosing he he, they were noted by my lupus specialist yesterday. I have to go and see a dermatologist to discuss further treatment for them.

One thing ladies and gents, do not use Zovirax. I have the data sheet on this and it is a definite "no no" for patients with auto immune problems.
