Please Help Me (Chronic Fatigue board)

2nd May 2001
I sure hope you feel better soon. If your biopsy is benign, try getting bloodwork for Epstein Barr virus (mono). Once you have had mono, it stays in your body forever. For some of us, like me, it is recurrent and keeps you tired, sore lymph nodes, and when you have a bad recurrence, it causes your arms and legs to ache and even muscle spasms. Zovirax can help. Olive leaf extract and good vitamins including multi-B, stay away from stimulants completely - coffee, tea, soda, etc., which may seem like the only thing keeping you going, but really they are stimulating your nervous system and activating the virus. This sounds crazy, but eat kind of an ulcer diet for a while, stil fruits and veggies but lots of potatoes, bananas, brown rice and OATMEAL. These soothe your nervous system and have helped me. You won't read that anywhere, it just works for me. Good luck and I am praying for you,.
