Fevor blisters (Colds & Flu board)

26th November 2004
Being sick can certainly trigger the Herpes simplex virus to slip out with a vengence.

Zovirax by prescription is a good topical medication, but in order for it to work well, it should be used immediately upon presentation.

But, Abreva seems to work well and it's otc, so definitely keep it on hand.

I strongly stress the suggestion to not touch it with your hands and apply any medication with q-tips.

If you've contaminated any products, throw them out and use caution when using towels that are family shared. As a matter of fact, make sure you have your own towels, glass, don't kiss or touch, drink from a straw and wash all utensils in very hot soapy water.

I really hope you get well quickly, and be prepared for the next time with products that can help speed healing. Check in with your doctor so that a prescription med can be given to you just in case.

Very best to you,
quincy
