I haven't seen the doctor yet. My appointment is Sept. 8th. I know he's going to want to do a barium x-ray, scope and whatever else. I had radiation as an infant to my thymus gland which turned out to be bad medicine, but only knew that after the fact. I have an enlarged thyroid, especially on the right side, with no nodules. Up to now, the thyroid blood tests have been normal. Most of my GI problem seems to be on the right side too. Post nasal drip on right side too! Any connection? I also feel like a pinching between my shoulder blades when I eat. I can swallow meat, prezels, etc. but not pills. Pyschological? I feel the "pressure" in my back sometimes even when not eating. The allergist gave me Pepcid AC 40 mg 2x a day and Xanax .5mg 1x day, and I've taken Zoloft 50mg once a day for years. Since starting the Pepcid AC, I have stomach soreness around my middle and a reccurence of IBS symptoms. All very weird because I haven't had any digestive problems to speak of for 10 years since I've been on Zoloft. From reading these posts, it sounds like anxiety and digestive problems all go together and that the medicines aren't all that effective even though the tests show no major problem. Pray it's not Barrett's or worse!!
