Ringing in the ears is caused by three things. It can be caused by a collection of fluid in the middle ear. It also can be caused by something occuring in the inner ear. It also can be caused by some medications that are known to be ototoxic. I am a Speech Pathologist in New York. You need to see an ENT that has an Audiologist on staff.
