I have been fighting a really bad sinus infection and my doctor has me on Zithromax Tri Pack, but he felt the nasonex wasn't getting the severe swelling down and my face is totally puffy due to the inflamation in my sinuses, so he put me on a 6 day Prednisone dosepak, I used it once about 3 or 4 years ago and it worked wonders. It gets all the inflamation down. I don't think 6 days is a long time.
