Thank you for your reply. I am hypothyroid - sorry if I indicated otherwise - this is all new to me. I have had high cholesterol for awhile now AND "above normal" sugar (fasting range around 124) for about a year now. I also have just been diagnosed with peripheral neuropathy due to burning in my feet - dr. says sugar causes this - and just put me on Metformin. I take 2 grains of Armour thyroid daily also. I take Ziac for high blood pressure. I am overweight and working hard to change that. I want my health back!

Can you tell me more about your condition and how it may relate to mine? It seems we are twins!!!

[COLOR="Purple"]At the beginning the metformin may make you sick but you will adjust as your body adjusts. Stick with it. I lost 15 pounds going on metformin and lose more every time I get my period (Now there's a bonus).

Have you been checked for Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (don't worry not as scary as it sounds. Your symptoms sound like that can be the culprit. Do you have facial hair? Check out the PCOS board.I want my health back!
