Yes, go to ER, however I do not know whether they are aware or willing to admit that statin drugs do this to people.
My husband was on Zocor and it caused weakness in his legs causing him to stumble around all of a sudden injuring his knee and ended up having knee surgery. He was then on Zetia, a different type drug, and I was losing him mentally as well as physically. He took Zetia for a while and then stopped for a while, etc. Finally I began to put two and two together and realized it was the Zetia causing him to be easily agitated, acting like he was not aware of his surroundings, aggressive driver, etc. He has been off Zetia for over 6 months and is more like his old self, alert at at the steering wheel, etc.
