aswander, I have been on every PPI out there, but now I have been on Protonix for the past 2 years. It does keep most of the acid down, but I still get some discomfort. I take 40 mg. each morning and 40 mg at night. Sometimes I will need an extra one during the day. I am also on Zelnorm for my IBS and it has been working great for me. Take care, Linda
