Hello All,

I have been diagnosed GERD. Pretty severe symptoms with constant need to clear my throat, feeling of something struck in my throat. Initially my PCP prescribed Protonix 40 mg once a day. Appeared to help me a little. My GI doctor changed to Nexium 40 mg initially once a day and now twice a day. Also I am taking Pepcid AC twice a day.

I do not know how long it will take for symptoms to clear if they ever will. I do not have any appetite to eat. My GI doc also prescribed Zelnorm, but it gave me real bad diarrhea. I feel like this the end of my life.

Life with suffering is perhaps no life at all. I try to be happy and full of energy, but since GERD hit me, I have been very depressed. I am 35 and I feel like life has been sapped out of me.

Please help me. I do not want to live anymore.
