For the past several months I've had pain in my upper abdomen along with constipation. I finally got to see a doctor about it and she gave me a colonoscopy yesterday. She said a large part of my colon has lost its elasticity and may be where the pain is coming from. I've never heard of this before. The doctor said she doesn't know what caused it and put me on Zelnorm to see if it helps.

I've also been diagnosed with an autoimmune disorder. The doc doesn't know which one and I'm waiting on a rheumatologist to be able to see me. It is either lupus, sjogrens, MCTD or scleroderma. Or a mixture of them.

So, I was wondering if anyone here has had any colon problems that are similar and what can be done about it, if anything?
