I second the reflux. Purchase some zantac and see if it helps. They come in two dosages 75mg and 150mg. When I was diagnosed with reflux (same feeling and I was losing my voice)..I started with the 75mg twice a day and then upped it after a week to 150mg twice a day. It helped A LOT!!! amazing.

I don't take it regularly at this time.

Start with that at least...I believe you can purchase it over the counter.

I wanted to give you one more suggestion, in case it is reflux. Visit an herbal store and ask them what they would recommend for acid reflux. They will probably suggest something with an enzyme in it or something to help with your digestion. I don't use the over the counter stuff like Zantac (even though I recommended it in my original response to you) because it sort of does the body more harm than good. It masks the symptoms instead of helping to solve the problem and help heal you. You need the acid in your stomach. What you don't need is for it to get into your esophagus. Medicines like Zantac and others actually kill the acid which is not healthy. The herbal stuff is natural and helps your body heal and digest so that you aren't depleting what you need, just sort of getting it where it needs to be. It is up to you how you want to treat yourself if it is reflux. I find that the natural stuff works wonders for me and doesn't do any harm to my body.

And, I don't want anyone to think that I am poo pooing their suggestion. I made the suggestion myself in my previous post. But, I do want to help the best way I know how and to do that, I feel it is my duty as a fellow reflux sufferer (if that is indeed what the original poster has) to provide as much info as I can based on my own personal experience.

One last suggestion is to try to cut down on carbs. I used to get reflux attacks at least once a month. In an effort to lose some weight about 3 years ago or so, I went on a low carb diet. Low and behold, I may only get about 3 reflux attacks a year now and, that is only when I let my diet fall by the waist side for a couple weeks. In my first year and a half or more on the diet, I didn't have even one single reflux attack.

I hope that you are feeling better! Please chime in and let us know how you are doing.

Take care!

Nah, I would try the Zantac or another over-the-counter acid inhibitor, and if it works, voila! You have a clue what it is.

Of course, I am always the first one to recommend a doctor's visit, if possible. I thinkit far more likely that it's reflux than anything more serious, but a doctor could really help you rule some other stuff out.

Good luck!
