Lots of Muscle/Bodyache Pain & Fatigue (Open to All Health Related Topics board)

22nd May 2008
Hi all....thanks for the responses.

To answer a few of your questions as far as stress I have had my share. I currently have a younger brother in Hospice care for the past year for a rare condition called Automomic Failure. I have been the liason for most of the family in terms of keeping everybody apprised of his day to day condition.
I also have a 16 year old daughter who over the past few years was diagnosed with Bipolar after 4 hospitalizations but is now stable for the past year. Other than that, the stress is not a problem.

Depression or anxiety, don't see any problem there although with my chronic back problems and pain I have been on an antidepressant (Wellbutrin) for periods of time but am currently off of it.

I am overweight due to my sendentary lifestyle and limitations in being able to exercise. I use to walk but that became too painful. I try to eat healthy and do take a multivitamin & Omega 3's on a daily basis.

As far as meds, I currently take Feldene 20mgs (antiinflammatory) for the DDD.

I am not pleased with this doctor's management, he never even examined me and it wasn't until I called 3 times that I finally got the results of my bloodwork and that came from a receptionist. They did draw a Lymes panel which came back negative as well as the bloodwork which would have shown arthritic problems.

Didn't realize that a Pain Management doctor could handle things outside of just prescribing for pain.

I presently am trying to battle a wicked cold (runny nose, watery eyes, sneezing and cough) and as soon as I get through this will see about getting into another doctor. Like I said, I have moved and have yet to find a new doctor that I trust. I intend to ask some neighbors and acquaintences for some recommendations. I need a good PCP (Primary Care Physician) who can manage me with the help of a specialist if necessary.

Thanks again for the advice, it is much appreciated.
