A few problems (Addison's Disease board)

9th May 2004
I have had Addison's all my life and was diagnosed 19 years ago, I am 32.
This is a woman's question but all replies are greatly appreciated.

I am no longer ovulating and have Premature Ovarian Failure which is not uncommon with Addison's. This is frustrating to me as I have not been able to find any information on this in the typical Addison's sites. I want to know if other addison's women are experiencing this problem. My endocrinologist said she MIGHT be able to manipulate my hormones more so that I have a possibility to get pregnant. I am currently on hormone replacement therapy (Vivelle with Prometrium) and I have a family history of breast cancer (my mom has it now and my Aunt just died from it this year) so this freaks me out a bit. I also have every risk factor for Breast cancer so the thought of more hormones concerns me. Anyone have any information on this or can you direct me to a web site for more information?

Thanks

Kris
