am i missing out? (Sexual Health - Men board)

16th December 2002
While I agree that it's not the end of the world to be circumcised I do feel we are missing out. Cutting off 15 square inches of sensetive skin means you can never feel things that you might have enjoyed. All males use what skin they have to masturbate with, or they use a lube. Circumcision was originally introduced into western society as a purported anti-masturbation measure. It does not affect frequency but it sure affects how you do it and what you feel. Some women also report that sex with intact partners is smoother and gentler.
Penile cancer is an extremely rare disease and is rarer in non-circumcising countries like Sweeden than in the mostly circumcised USA. Washing so that you inspect the penis head regularly seems to be the key. Lowering the rate of penile cancer is not a valid reason to circumcise. It just does not make statistical sense, nor does it make sense for cervical cancer in partners.
My circumcised penis used to be sensitive but as I have grown older I can't feel nearly as much. Now I need Viagra to have satisfactory sex.
