Briefly it's a species of epimedium, believed to have aphrodisiac qualities. It acts in a very similar way to viagra pills. In recent years, many new species have been discovered and it sounds like something that is easy to re-produce yourself in your own garden at home. However there is no information on whether or not it is safe to use horny goat weed, and it does not state any side-effects associated with its use.
