smartpants, why not go to a derm? even if all you want is a topical, they have all the really good stuff, plus, if you have insurance it's probably cheaper than buying drug or dept store goods. when my acne was still mild my derm put me on the following:

clinique extra mild soap (the white one)
topical clindamycin solution 1%
doxycycline 50mg/2x/day

beautiful skin for five years. easy as pie. and with my insurance now, my cleosin lotion and even my pills are only $5! so why is my bcp $40? good question! if it were viagra it would be $5. grrr... sorry, that makes me so mad!
