Wakeup----Hi, i am not on sub. but can tell you that opiates have ruined my sex drive. I used to be the one bugging HIM all the time, then came sobriety and now no sex. I really believe that the opiates have ruined our brains to the point that we need to "re-learn" how to do anything pleasurable. The only real pleasure our brains know is to get high. I wonder if they make a viagra for women???? I would definitely try it, as me and my hubby are having a lot of issues about me not wanting to be physical anymore. I know my problem is just me.....i have ruined myself this time, but am working at it....
Well he picked a crappy week to tell you this...being Thanksgiving and all. You are doing way too good, sometimes the spouses think that we should be "back to our old selves" in no time and we all know that is impossible. I figure it will take me at least 6 months before everything falls back into place. I am 4 weeks sober with no suboxone and having the exact same symptoms, sex has become almost another chore for me to do. Let me know if you come up with a solution...and i will do the same....Hang in there, you are sober and doing wonderful, he should be thankful for that in itself!!!! I am here if you ever want to talk....
