   severe chronic urticaria (Allergies board)

15th December 2004
A.M.-
I am taking an antihistamine (24 hour, OTC) right now on top of the usual inhalers for my asthma (symbicort, ventolin) and also flonase for my sinuses, and singulair, although to be honest I don't remember if it was to help the sinuses, the asthma, or the hives! It does help with the sinuses, so I take it for that, whatever the original intent. I don't know much about carpal tunnel either, but I know that this hand thing only started within the last year or so, which is well into the hive thing. I seem to have trouble with these inflammatory illnesses; perhaps it is because I can't take any non-steriodal anti-inflammatories (ASA, etc.) due to an allergy (one of the ones that the tests say I don't have!). I just know I am tired of all the falderall around trying to prove a) that you have something wrong, and b) that something that is wrong is not solely in your mind.
Hope you have a cracking Christmas/Hannukah/Kwanza/holiday and a vibrant and healthy New Year
genster
forgot to add I have a prescription anti-histamine for the bad days - seems it only helps me sleep, does little for the hives; and acetaminaphin for the painful outbreaks.
