Laser Hair Removal (Beauty & Cosmetics board)

Someone was mentioning a prescription product called Vaniqa at another forum the other day. It slows the regrowth of hair but you have to use it daily. She was saying that you just put a small amount on like using a lotion. It works the best if you use it after you wax or tweeze. She said that she tried using it on a spot that was "hairy" and it did not make the hair thinner but it did work for her to greatly reduce the hair growing back. She said that she was having to shave it every day but now there are just a few hairs growing back here and there! I say that's worth checking out!

Hi: I tried Vaniqa, and it did work, but it took a while before you noticed it. It's a prescription lotion, and very expensive, so I stopped using it because of the price since my insurance wouldn't pay for it anyway. You could try it and see what you think. Just give it some time, a couple of weeks at least before you noticed the hair slowing in growth. I think if I had continued with it, it would have stopped growing, but I just couldn't afford it anymore. That was several years ago, so maybe they have lowered the price or have it in generic.

Good Luck...
