Bothrops, Don't give up yet, you'll find a good doctor with some answers but you have to be persistent. Did you read up on lyme disease yet? My visit to the ER proved to be long and tiring. But I did manage to get an appointment with a neurologist for this morning and an MRI of my lumbar spine for tomorrow. I had a run around with my insurance company first because these are expensive tests. My lower back pain is alot like labor pain, but I am 48 and not pregnant and I WAS physically active. Back pain is difficult to diagnose because it can be so many things. One of my doctors mentioned fibromyalgia, you might fit those symptoms as well. I had vertigo during my lyme disease and earlier this year. They gave me Valtrex and it went away within one week. Hang in there and keep us posted.
