Hi all and thank you so much for your replies. I did go to the doctor today and she said that it is indeed the shingles and that it is just starting so an antiviral would be very beneficial. She started me on Valtrex (valacyclovir HCI), 1g once a day. Thank you again for your replies.... sincrely appreciate them.
