Hi have never posted; Recently went back to reproductive endocrinologist after not being able to get into attending for several months suspected hypothroidism x ten years only treated jan 2001 first with unithroid then synthroid. Gradual increased dose with both doctors help fatigue never gets better have heard everthing from it takes energy to make energy I am not a couch potatoe exercise regurlarly. Positive antibodies swithed to levroxyl severe headaches forced me to swithc back to synthroid once dose over 200mcg headaches returned asked attending for armour she agreed pharmacy gave generic and in four weeks tsh up to 6 then asked for non generic after four week increased to 3 grains a day last now alternating 2 grains with 3 every other day. Nurse practioner and repro endo office stated to me that synthroid was superior drug and that if I continued on this medication she would not support my decision. Now what do I do Doc wants to see me in two weeks after a host of tests. I need back up to support my decision to stay on armour however I am plagued with recuurent episodes of angioedema all allergy work up negative and this has not changed since beginig armour. Take atarax 50mg and prednisone 20mg for attacks. Any advice todays tsh is 1.10 and free t3 and 4 are in mid range.
