It's me again about my stomach problems.
I've had stomach problems ever since I was younger. I'm still young tho.
Anyway, the burning is getting agonizing. Nexium 40mg just isn't helping anymore. I believe I'm going to a specialist again. I'm just wondering what they might do? What kind of tests might be done? Last year when I went, I had a simple blood test done to see if there is infection. I never knew you could get infections because of Acid Reflux Disease. Anyway, they knew I had ARD (acid reflux disease), right off the bat when I told them my symptoms. Sometimes so much acid, methane gas, whatever it is, backs up into my chest that my heart flutters and I think I'm having heart failure. This has created a small case of anxiety which sometimes make my heart flutter worse. I have had a few EKGs done, and there is nothing wrong with my heart, so it must be the ARD. Sometimes the burning is so bad in my stomach that I have to resort to prescription pain pills such as Ultram. It helps sometimes, but sometimes it makes it worse with nausea if I don't have the right ammount of food in my stomach.
I use to worry constantly so maybe that has causes an ulcer, or two?
All I know is that I want something done. Now!
Please, can anyone tell me what to expect when I go back to the specialist?
