If you aren't getting high off of it...then by all means you should continue using it since it helps so much with your pain. Ultracet is Tramadol with Tylenol...its not as heavy of a dose of Tramadol either so you don't get the so called "high" feeling from it as you would from just regular Tramadol. As for the doctors being uninformed...medically the ultracet and tramadol are listed in a category other than narcotics but the FDA is going to be rethinking that and relisting it as such pretty soon I'm sure with all of the people that are abusing it. It doesn't contains opiates...but it works through the receptors as an opiate would...so it pretty much does the same thing. You are doing so well though...and I must say how proud of you I am to turn away the hearvier drugs. I too am in constant back pain and may be facing surgery soon...I'm on Oxycontin 80mg and couldn't function without them. I was on 20 per day hydros so I know what you mean where those are concerned. It was ridiculous...but now I take the oxys just twice a day and have no pain. it's really a miracle pill! Anyway...best of luck to you and please keep us posted on your progress. God Bless~ :wave:
