I am right there with you Valley. When I decide to quit Ultracet is was around Christmas. Christmas Eve is when my extreme anxiety and heart palpitations started. I had to listen to my Dr lecture me about calling him on Christmas Eve. Like I can control when I have a problem such as this.

Ultracet is very addictive, I am in w/d now & it is horrible. Also, it was prescribed for me for back pain, knowing that I was taking a tricyclic anti-depressant & Klonopin, which I read that ultracet should not be prescribed with those type meds. W/D's enhance the side effects of the other meds you are taking.

I had flu like symptoms for about a week. All of that has gone away but now I have constant heart palpitations and anxiety attacks. Actually, The heart palpitations have minimized since i started taking a beta blocker. I tried to get off the beta blocker for a few days and the palpitations and the anxiety attacks came back pretty bad. I quit around Christmas. Actually spent Christmas Eve night in an E.R. with heart palpitations. All the doctors I have seen say that it is anxiety. I agree with them but I think it is a by-product of withdrawal or some effect of Ultracet. I was only on it for six weeks but I was up to taking six a day which had a very strong euphoric effect on me. I was hooked in like a week or so. Within four weeks I had to go from 4 to 6 a day. When I stopped, six did not even give me the same effect. I first started having symptoms about a day and a half after I dimished my dose from 6 a day to 4. Later BH
