Yes, don't bother changing your pill once you start spiro. I use Trivora as my bcp and didn't want to change as it works well for me. I'm taking 50mg of spiro/day, and I'm liking it very much. I had a follow up visit with my derm today, and he thought I was looking really good, too. He's keeping me at 50mg since that seems to be working just fine. He did make me get a blood test to check my potassium levels as this can be an issue with spiro. I am in the normal range thankfully. In three months, he will make me get another blood test before refilling spiro again. He doesn't think it will be anything to worry about, but too high of potassium levels could be very dangerous, so he just wants to monitor it initially to be on the safe side, which I appreciate very much. (What good is beautiful skin if you're dead?) :angel:

Hey Thick Skin,

I read that Spiro can make you drowsy and that you might get dizzy if you stand up to quickly. Has this happenend to you?

Also, since it flushes out excess salt & water from your body, have you noticed any weight loss? I'm kinda worried about that too because I dont really want to loose any weight... especially if its just water weight.

Have you noticed any other side effects? (Good or Bad)
