When I was on Triphasil my sex sex drive was through the roof, but my body never fully adjusted to the changing hormones each week (every week both the progestin and estrogen levels change). Eventually, the excess testosterone effect (derived from the progestin in the pill) caused my hair to rapidly start falling out. :eek: (Apparently I am sensitive to testosterone effects...)
There are a lot of girls out there that take a bcp that have more testosterone-like effects and are fine. (Some progestins have more of these effects than others i.e. levonorgestrel. Try it and see how you feel. My advice is just to keep an eye on your body...it will tell you if something is wrong. Good luck!
