Hi Tired

I have a suggestion for you if I may:

I am pre-diabetic and have a high bad cholesterol count. I was taking Tricor for the sugar counts, but have now been taken off of it as the doctor feels I can continue to lower the sugar count by diet. When I was on a high dose of lipitor, for the cholesterol, I decided to take, with my doctor's blessing, a food supplememt called Co Q-10. This supplement, actually an enzyme that the body also produces naturally, is a well known supplement to combat the muscle problems encountered while taking statins for cholesterol. It is mostly promoted as a heart healthy supplement, but does much more. It is the enzyme that causes mitosis to take place in the cells which, in turn, produces energy. (I have done a lot of research on this). While taking it to combat the statin effects, I had greatly increased energy, greatly. I started off taking 300 mgs across the day, and after 2 weeks, cut back to 200 mgs total a day. The increase in energy was marked and was helping my heart and cholesterol levels as well.

I also take 4 100mg Omega -3 Fish Oil capsules a week.... again, for the cholesterol at my doctor's suggestion. However, Fish oil also has a remarkable property of stabalizing mood in depression. It is surely one of my sources in fighting depression, and helps a great deal. Guess our Grandmas were right when they made there kids take a spoonful of cod liver oil everyday.... (are you even old enough to know about this?? chuckles)

Anyway, these are my suggestions for what they are worth. good luck and hoping you are able to find restored energy.

best wishes
