Hi folks,
I am a type II diabetic and happened to have recently donated blood, recevied a blood report information letter mentioning high ALT (alanine aminotrasferase) and not being able to use the donation.
Hight ALT is due to protein discharge by the liver or muscle, off all the possible symptons mentioned I could attribute the problem with prescription drugs taken for diabetics. The drugs prescribed are : Glycovance, Tricor and Avandia, would appreciate any information or advise on the subject.
