cortisone shots at home (Acne board)

18th February 2004
So far, my research has turned up the following: derms use 3 mg per cc of triamcinolone acetonide (that's what is in the cortisone shots). Has anyone considered doing this themselves? I'm SO tired of dealing with my doctor. He's very rude, and it just seems to me that this is not a very complicated/dangerous procedure. I would rather do it myself, at home. I, by the way, volunteer at a syringe exchange, so obtaining needles won't be an issue. Any thoughts?

I'm working on it. There's a lot out there that contain triamcinolone, but they're mostly creams or gels. I'm looking for the stock solution, which would be liquid. THe search continues...
