i'm not sure about the camellia oil but i do have some rose mosquetta oil which some have suggested for fading blemishes. i'll look up the camellia oil though. i am glad you mentioned the peels and the possible negative effect they may have on darker skin tones. i'm not fond of any harsh chemicals on my face at all and the possible long term skin damage is one of the reasons i'm apprehensive about the hardcore skin treatments.
I've recently heard of rosehip oil. It seems to have similar qualities to Camellia, but they say it also has tretinoin which is retin-A. You should use it. In case you don't know, if you apply with damp fingers or to a still damp face, it's easier to apply it lightly so you won't feel greasy.
I've found another discussion in which people were talking about flax oil and it healed all their sun damage and various pigment problems in a few months. I think it's the omega 3s. Perricone's 3-day face lift diet consists of eating salmon twice a day.
