I posted something related to this a while back, but like you, I never had skin problems until last year (when I was 32)(but unlike you, I am a male). The most aggravating aspect for me, however, is the post inflammatory hyperpigmentation I have been experiencing. It doesn't matter if I pop or squeeze or not, the red marks on my face are very visible and very big.
Someone mentioned that the adult acne might be related to a hormonal imbalance. I am wondering if I might have somehow compromised my immune system as well.
One caveat -- I tried using tretinoin (Retin-A micro) for 2 months, but I believe that its harshness made my skin worse.
