The percentage of foster kids of psych meds is very high. They have behaviorial problems because they have a messed up home life, have lost their parents or any number of other tragedies. They AREN'T mentally ill and drugging them just adds to the tragic situation. One little 7 year old that we were called about awhile back, was on Trazodone! I couldn't believe it! I called the manufacturer and they said that it was NOT for children, but the stupid shrink STILL refused to take the boy off the drug! The poor kid couldn't even do his homework. Trazodone makes even adults, very sleeping and can take away all motivation.
