Need Advice ASAP- The rehab wants me there NOW, I want to go on the 17th (Addiction & Recovery board)

12th September 2004
:) Hiya Sara and Fisher and everyone else !...Sara I am so very sorry to
hear about your boyfriends grandmother...please accept my deepest sympathy to you,him and his family..I will also say the " rosary " tonight
and pray for you all in addition to my daily and nightly prayers for everyone
on the boards here..Sara, I am so very inspired , proud that you told your
family !...and God does indeed work in miraculous ways...I am so very happy
your sister is taking your kids while you are away and it sounds as if you
might have some family there during your " family weekend "..Yeah!!...but
remember I and many, many others will " be with you in heart, soul and spirit,
wishing and surrounding you with love, peace and serenity...all of which you
will find there Sara...trust me,my dear freind....I always knew you would make
it to the other side...clean and sober..as much as you craving it..it also is
awaiting upon you with open arms...Recovery is WAY KEWL!!!...In reference
to yuor earlier questions concerning my sleep,Fibro flair, and pain..I am still
100% clean-no other meds except for my "AD cocktail..as Lynn calls it "-
which at present consists of Wellbutrin XL 300mg and 80 mg Fluoxetine in
a.m. and 300 mg trazodone at hs...NO OTHER MEDS EVEN OTCS !..However,
I am wondering if perhaps my PCP and Phsychiatrist would consider lowering
the fluoxetine to 40 mg in a.m. in hopes of me sleeping better as the most
I have slept in the last two weeks is 4 - 5 hrs total for the night and no naps....I guess I am much better being the " health care provider " as opposed
to being " the patient "...However, I feel the relatively high dose of the SSRI-
fluoxetine is causing my problems with sleep and in addition the EXREME PAIN
I currently have been experiencing...uggh..what to do , any suggestions ???
Fisher - How very wonderful to have heard from ya , you have been on mind,
in my prayers daily and nightly...as I think about you daily-always wishing
you the best...I was not aware you had Fibro...wow!...small world...Anyhoo,
thank you so very much in helping me as I truly appreciate it..yes my dear
friend..I have been thinking about the pain control and most specifically
as ya mentioned " dependency vs addiction "..hmm , not sure what the "right
answer is for me right now "...I am in EXREME PAIN from the fusion surgery and had my first ever MAJOR fibro flair since my initial clinical dx of Fibro
over a yr. ago...So Fisher, if I may ask your advice my friend and anyone
else reading this..here I sit with 2 rxs ( not yet filled ) for # 240 tramadol
50 mg ( sig- taking 2 every 6 hrs.) - as I REFUSED any rxs for opiates my
PCP and Surgeon wanted to give me for the pain..as they wanted me to take
Percocet or Oxycontin or Norco 10/325..and the other rx is for #120 Valium
10 mg ( sig- 1 every 6hrs ) to act as a muscle relaxer and help with the
pain control...What would you do Fisher ??...any suggestions??...As , I have
come to have a great deal of respect for you as well as a deep caring,
friendship for ya !....Love ya Guys...

Peace..Love...Recovery to ALL...Chris.....
