Hello michael,
You can ask the doctor about Tramadol but I must warn you that it has mixed reviews.
Though the F.D.A. has not categorized it as addictive, I have heard some say otherwise.
Anything that you take for severe or chronic pain is probably going to have a potentially addictive quality to it.
This is why they reserve the opiods, etc., as a last resort.
As one doctor truthfully told me: "on one hand, we prescribe you these medications but on the other hand, your body becomes addicted and you may require larger doses eventually."
