Hello all. I recently had an Endoscopy/colonoscopy procedure. Diagnosed with gastritis, Hiatal hernia, Refux, and a "ring" on my esophagus. Have been taking Protonix 40mg. Although it seems to help a little, there seems to be side effects.(Bloating, gas, headaches/ diahrrea) Seem to have all kind of medical issues now. Insomnia, sinusitus from allergies, fatigue, etc. Immunity system seems to be down as I get sick easily.Have had all kind of bloodwork/ testing done for bacteria/parasitic infections, chrohns, celiac, sleep apnea. All negative.I was wondering now if a Nutritionalist/homeopathic specialist might be in order? I take probiotics and drink aloe vera that helps somewhat, but I can't take this see-saw cycle of pain//sickness/tiredness anymore. I don't smoke, although I average 12 beers a week.Blood pressure and cholesterol levels are high. Was prescribed Toprol and lipitor.I am not overweight, but do not exercise as much as I probably should.I really would like to get off these meds if I could. I believe essentially I need suggestions from ya'll on boosting immune system, treating the stomach disorders and naturally lowering blood pressure/cholesterol levels.
