My symptoms are few compared to others so I wonder if this could be reflux.
I have stomach gurgling and a feeling as if something is behind my breastbone, more annoying, not painful, just there.
I also have a light sore throat at times and feel like I need to make myself burb.
This goes on pretty much all day and came on to me rather quickly one day.
I have no problem when sleeping.
I am taking Protonix, just started taking it, had tried prilosec otc on my own and it did nothing.
I am confused because I do not really get heartburn, at least there is no burning sensation, does it have to burn?
Could that discomfort behind my breatbone be heartburn?
Also, am I right in thinking that this is a tough nut to get rid of and can take months to eliminate, is that correct?
I guess I should not expect immediate results with the Protonixs.
Also, a long shot but this all came on shortly after I weaned myself off a blood pressure medication, Toprol xl, any chance this could have triggered these digestive problems.
