I know how you feel with about your skin. I get so annoyed! I think i have tried everything that a dermatologist could possibly prescribe; from retin-A to prescribed facial washes to tetracycline and the newer version, Solodyn. Nothing ever seemed to help and I would get so frustrated.
I also always wanted to try accutane; however, my mother always discouraged me and told me that people have had suicidal thoughts and other extremes, so I never really wanted to try it after that.
But, one thing I have been using lately for the past 8ish months is Clinique's three step acne solutions. It is good for oil control and my break-outs have been reduced. I buy the larger 3 step set with the bar soap and its only like $40 and lasts about 5-6 months.
I have also tried Pro-activ while that did help my skin some, it seemed to bleach a lot of my clothes and towels.
I have a friend that gets chemical peels, and I may try that soon!
