I was on antibiotics for a year (tetracycline for about 6 months and minocycline for about 5). I weened myself off of the minocycline within a month, and havent taken any antibiotics since the beginning of last month. One of the main reasons why I decided to take myself off of it was because it was giving me serious problems in the stomach (diarrhea literally every morning). I thought that when I stopped it would all go away but unfortunately it doesnt seem to be the case. My stomach is completely messed up. When I try to sleep at night all it does is grumble and I wake up with cramps. At times I can hardly get a good night sleep because of discomfort. I've been eating some probiotic yogurt to try to help but I dont know if it is even doing anything. I know I should go see a doctor but Ive been so busy its extremely difficult to find time to. For anyone who has been on antibiotics and went off did you experience something similar? Thanks.
