Hi! Sounds like me.....you may have what is called perodial dermatitis (first word spelling?) like itchy acne around the mouth. THat is what I believe I have, nothing works to rid me of it....I'm now on minocycline to treat it....if this is what it is....Any tetracycline anitibiotics should do the trick. ALTHOUGH, I have to say....I'm entering my 2nd month on antibiotics and not noticing great change! Still pretty itchy acne.....it may work for you, I'm going to give it another month and if nothing great happens...no more. I'm considering Starflower Oil/Borage Oil or Evening Primerose Oil.....hearing more and more rav reviews about this. Just don't know what are good brands to trust when buying online? I cannnot find Starflower Oil in the US, have to have it shipped from UK......but what brands do you trust?

OH...and about the toothpaste thing...I too tried this....I use only a natural brand...no floride. No results from this either...BUT again, it may be different for you and work for you! Worth a shot I guess.
