i started my period on Sat. may 5 and i started the pill in Sun. may7. the problem is it had been almost two weeks and i am still bleeding kinda heavy! what is going on? is it normal to have your period for two weeks on the pill? it is my first period after my child was born but this is my 2nd child and last time i DID NOT have this problem, of course i also didnt take the pill. the pill i am taking is sprintec. is the pill causeing all of this should i stop taking it? PLEASE HELP.

I've heard of this happening to women before. Are you breast feeding? You are not suppose to be on this pill if you are breast feeding. The paper than come with the pills says that if you have any of the following to tell your doctor before taking it. Says if you have any of the following that taking Sprintec can cause it to react differently than it should. Cancer, diabetes, headaches or migraines, endometriosis, epilepsy, high cholesterol or triglyceride levels in the blood, high blood pressure, recent surgery, breast nodules or abnormal mammogram, depression, gallbladder or kidney disease, irregular menstrual periods, urinary tract bleeding, or obesity
