I am up to my wits with my big toenail. Its been 3 years now and I still cant get rid of the fungus. My big toenail had gone thru so much trauma. So I started Lamisil. It cleared all my toenails but the big toenail started growing as an ingrown nail. Cut it once and it grew back again. Saw my podiatrist who killed the nail bed. My biggest mistake ever. The fungus came back and I treated again with Lamisil pills, lamisil laquer. No results. Then treated with Sporanox (very expensive), worked a little better except the edge still was yellow. He gave me Flexitol laquer and i am back to a yellow nail. I think the problem was that I should never have killed the nail bed. Unfortunately, the damage is irreversible or is it?. not sure if is fungus anymore, or just white, yellow discoloration? What puzzles me is that nails have memory. Once you interrupt that memory or matrix, they will not grow normally anymore. So why did he killed the nail bed as this will interrupt nails memory. I dont think there is hope for me. anyone relates to my story?
