I've spent the last 3 months going to the doctor and taking various asthma related medications for 'chest tightness'. The pulmonary specialist suspects I have asthma and has taken me off Advair (taking it for 2.5 months) and put me on Singulair.

Long story short...for a lack of a better way to describe it... have had a burning anxiety kinda feeling in my chest (sternum area). Comes & goes...not necessarily related to the chest tightness or at the same time. Or is it?

I've always assumed it was all related, considering all these symptoms came on all at once at the same time....Obviously, it's been 3 months now and I still don't have closure to this situation. So - I like to try things on my own and see what happens...

Anyone know of an 'over the counter' acid reflux pill (???) that I can take just to see if these symptoms go away? Then - if they work...perhaps my issues are acid reflux related and I can talk to my doctor about it the next time I see him (3 weeks).

Thankyou for the help!! Seems things take sooo long for doctors to diagnose things or takes forever to get an appointment...it's frustrating to deal with symptoms for what I consider...far too long!
