Allergic to PPI's (Acid Reflux board)

10th June 2006
noptical- I wouldn't say they are "fixed" but I got them under control through medications and avoidance of certain items. Originally, I had immunotherapy for some allergies. (Although I ended them about 5 years ago and am getting ready to start them up again.) I also removed some allergins such as my pet--which was hard to do. Over the years, I have tried various medications for all conditions to get rid of the cough. Currently, my meds include: Allegra, Singulair, Flonase, Astelin, Advair 500/50, Prevacid 2x/day, Albuterol as needed, and a couple eye drops for allergy eyes and dry eye. I also stick to the acid reflux friendly diet.

Someday, I would love to find a way to get off all the medications. In addition to being a lot for my body, they get extremely expensive each month.
