My husband was diagnosed with Parkinson's in 1992, went on meds for 15 years and did very well. Then his doctor went to MIT and new doctor took him off his meds and said he doesn't have Parkinson's. He did ok for a while with gradual worsening. Then in January dropped down immediately to below where he was in 1992. The physical symptoms came back and he is delusional, psychotic and frightened. He thinks someone is coming to get him and doesn't even trust or believe me. He is constantly following me around complaining about things that are only in his mind and not real. It is so hard for both of us. The doctor agreed to temporarily put him back on sinemet until he sees him again in July and I asked for 3 per day but he said no. The third call I made he didn't even return. Nobody seems to think this is as bad as it is for both of us. he is pitiful and I don't have a life anymore. I did get him to a psychiatrist and she put him on a new anti psychotic which helps by keeping him sedated which is not what I want and am not sure he needs. No hallucinations yet. Horrible disease.
