Hi, I'm Jen. I'm 29 and have been on medication for depression and anxiety for 15 years. I have been on
Klonopin
Paxil
Wellbutrin
Risperdal
Lithium
Celexa
Serzone
Diazapam
Buspar
Xanax
Zoloft
I am currently on Effexor. Does anybody have any suggestions on anything 'new' on the market. I stopped going to psychiatrists after 10 years and millions of dollars in therapy with no possitive results. I honestly think that some people just have a chemical imbalance and no amount of 'talk therapy' is going to help. (especially when the therapists sometimes seem to watch too many Lifetime movies....and try to say that the root of your problem is repressed molestation..or whatever is in the lastest edition of Popular Psychology. Excuse the sarcasm--it is not meant with malice--Anyway, I now just get presriptions from my regulat doctor and I was wondering if there was something that I should try. Or if there was a reason to get back out there and visit a phychiatrist again to seek out new meds? Nothing I have taken has totally worked. There are just lesser degrees of anxiety and depression. I couldn't imagine just feeling normal--to me that would be the equivelant of being high!!! SUGGESTIONS PLEASE !?!?! :)
