I was on naltrexone for alcohol abuse (about 6 years ago). Didn't last too long on it...started chewing them. The only side effect I noticed was a pretty bad headache/heaviness and difficulty driving at night. I also struggled with depersonalization on and off after I had my child (postpartum and PTSD issues). I was drugged up with so much CRAP! I know alot of docs tend to use anti-psychotic drugs like abilify, seroquel and a bunch others. I have never heard about naltrexone for this. I would LOVE to know what your psychiatrist says about this and if you give it a try. Good luck and post back :) .
